New firm set for bright future
Local valuation firm Logan Stone has joined forces with South Island based firm Crighton Anderson Property and Infrastructure to form Crighton Stone.
Crighton Stone director Frank Spencer said the combined venture will offer greater resource for traditional work, while providing leadership to individuals, business and government entities grappling with the significance and value of tangible and intangible assets. "The future is about property rights, natural resources, energy, land corridors and access rights, water rights, infrastructure, the foreshore, emissions trading, ownership structures, fractional interests, environmental values and much more. "All of these require much thought and the application of experience and pragmatism to resolve values and identify solutions in both market and non-market scenarios." The new firm has offices in Christchurch, Marlborough, Nelson, Tauranga, Auckland and Hastings. Directors, Mr Spencer, Boyd Gross and Tim Crighton lead a total team of 17 staff who are domiciled over the six offices. Mr Spencer said the two companies had worked closely in the past and it made sense to combine their areas of expertise to benefit clients throughout New Zealand and to provide an independent niche practice. "We recognise the new challenges of the more complex compliance regime, the global pursuit of a sustainable planet, new emerging markets, new ownership structures and reconsideration of traditional value drivers. "To meet future challenges we have assembled a talent pool, where new thinking and experience are mixed with commercial reality and a willingness to deliver robust, intelligent opinions and practical advice. "Crighton Stone gives clients access to a broader range of expertise, enhanced capability to get the job done and meaningful opinions to assist in decision making."
